Cashiering Ex-Servicemen

Sixth Central Pay Commission (SCPC), has in its recommendations, clubbed all the difficulties, hardship and complexities of military life, for compensation purposes, into Military Service Pay (MSP). Besides its low quantum,it has ben treated as an allowance which is NOT to granted from the date of implementation of SCPC ie Jan 01,2006, but from a later date, as if the soldiers were not doing MILITARY service during the period. Also MSP is not to be counted for pension. It amounts to saying that Military service evaporates on the date of retirement.
All the Ex- Servicemen, who have proudly served the Nation but suffered the privations of Military Career, be it separation from the family, leading a sort of Nomad life, family including childern fending on thier own without the head of family, now in thier pension, will not get the proportion of MSP, which was thiers as per terms and conditions of Service at the time of thier recruitment. It means that they have been CASHIERED FROM MILITARY SERVICE without any trial. There can be NO greater DEMORALISING and CALLOUS act by the Govt.
